Position Title Supervisor
Lifeguard Head Lifeguard

Statement of Position & Description

Teach swimming and provide for the safety of guests and staff. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the pool and related areas.

Hours/Schedule of Work Overtime Exempt?
A maximum of 40 hours a week over 7 days a week NO

Position Functions

Provide instruction for safe swimming and pool behavior.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Supervise in one of these areas: the main pool, kiddy pool, and the water slide.

  2. As required, clean pool, bath house, and deck, i.e. vacuum pool, sweep kiddy pool, jump skimmer baskets, disinfect baskets, squeegee bath house floors, commodes, and deck.

  3. Supervise private parties.

  4. Teach swimming lessons

  5. Pickup debris and trash around pool decks

  6. Maintain records of any accidents or incidents that happen at the pool.

  7. Use leaf skimmer to remove leaves, paper and other debris from the pool as needed.

  8. And other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Current Lifeguard Training Certificate

  2. Current CPR and First Aid certification

  3. Drug screen

  4. Minimum 18 years of age

  5. Available to work 7 days a week (days off will vary) for the entire pool season.

  6. Criminal history check if over 21 yrs

   

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in pool work 

  2. Experience working in a recreation facility

  3. Good communication skills 

  4. Equipment maintenance skills
