Statement of Position & Description

Drive and operate solid waste compactor truck; collect solid waste for disposal.

Position Functions

Collect solid waste from dumpsters on designated route in a safe and timely manner; transport solid waste for disposal

Position Duties and Responsibilities

1.   Operate vehicle safely and efficiently

2.   Report mechanical malfunction to superintendent immediately

3.   Verify fluid levels

4.   Keep equipment clean

5.   Report dumpsters that need repair or replaced

6.   Maintain list of overflow pickups

7.   Report needs to supervisor

8.   Verify safety features are operational

9.   Other duties as assigned from time to time  

Required Qualifications

1.     Valid OK CDL

2.     Good driving record

3.     2 yr experience with large truck operation

4.     High school diploma

5.     Pre-employment physical & drug screen, and criminal history check  

1.   Equipment training

2.   3yr experience with large truck operation

3.   2yr experience packer truck operator

4.   Drivers training at vo-tech
